    ‘The Hunger Games’ Actor Donald Sutherland Passes Away At Age 88

    Actor Donald Sutherland passed away Thursday after a long illness.

    He was 88-years-old.

    His son, actor Keifer Sutherland, confirmed his passing with a statement posted to his social media.

    “I personally think one of the most important actors in the history of film. Never daunted by a role, good, bad or ugly,” the statement read in part.

    Donald Sutherland is known for a number of big roles he played throughout the years.

    He had parts in M*A*S*H, The Dirty Dozen, Ordinary People and many more.

    He is most recently known for his role as President Snow, in The Hunger Games series.

    There is no word on what the illness was that Sutherland was battling.

    He leaves behind his son Keifer and his twin sister Rachel, whom he shares with ex-wife Shirley Douglas, as well as his current wife Francine Racette, and their three sons Rossif, Angus and Roeg.
